What is “Tokyo Disaster Prevention” Book?
「東京防災」とは

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government has created a disaster prevention book called ``Tokyo Disaster Prevention’‘ that can be kept at home and used on a daily basis so that each household can be fully prepared for various disasters such as an earthquake directly hitting the capital. We began distributing the copies to all households in Tokyo from September 1, 2015.

“Tokyo Disaster Prevention” takes into consideration Tokyo’s regional characteristics, urban structure, and the lifestyles of Tokyo residents, and provides information that can be used right away and is useful in an emergency, such as how to prepare for disasters and what to do in the event of a disaster. This is a complete Tokyo-specific disaster prevention book that is easy to understand.

By utilizing this Tokyo-specific disaster prevention book, “Tokyo Disaster Prevention,” we will further improve the “self-help and mutual assistance” abilities of Tokyo residents, with the aim of making Tokyo the safest and most secure city in the world.
